New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning thinks rookies have suffered from NFL lockout
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning expressed concern Friday at the Manning Passing Academy that the NFL lockout may hinder the development of rookies.
Manning said young players may face a difficult adjustment period due to the lack of official practices.
"I think that's going to be the case," Manning said. "We're trying to get with some of them and get them caught up a little on the offense and some of the basic routes and basic terminology. But hopefully we'll get into training camp in time where they'll at least have a full training camp to learn the system."
Manning has organized some workouts and walkthroughs with his New York teammates but described those as "decent" and far from the quality reps they would receive in mini-camps and organized team activities.
