| NY Giants coach cheered in upstate NY hometown
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin has plenty of fans in the upstate village of Waterloo.
That's because Coughlin grew up in the Finger Lakes community midway between Rochester and Syracuse.
With the Giants headed to the Super Bowl, residents in the Seneca County community are pulling for the former high school star athlete who went on to play football for Syracuse University in the 1960s.
Coughlin and his six siblings were born and raised in Waterloo, where the high school football field is named after him.
