New York Giants Injury Report - Game 3 Sunday Afternoon at Home Vs. Titans
The Giant's have officially released their injury list for this weekend's game at home against the Tennessee Titans.
Notable Newcomers: Justin Tuck, Mario Manningham, Michael Johnson
Nursed Backed to Health: Hakeem Nicks, Osi Umenyiora, Bruce Johnson, Gerris Wilkinson
OUT
Will Beatty (OT) - Foot - Out around 5-7 more weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a broken fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot.
Phillip Dillard (LB) - Hamstring - Still out from the injury he suffered in the preseason.
Michael Johnson (S) - Back - Has missed practice all week with a back injury. Honestly, I don't think the Giants will miss him too much this Sunday. I certainly can live without his blown assignments that lead to huge passing plays.
DOUBTFUL
Shaun O'Hara (C) - Ankle/Achilles - O'Hara's nagging ankle/Achilles injury has kept him out of practice all week. This is certainly not a good a sign for the Giants' offensive line issues. O'Hara has been the cornerstone of the Giants offensive line since signing with the team in 2004. The last time he missed a game was the first round of the '07 playoffs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite coming off a Pro Bowl year, O'Hara has looked slow and ineffective through the first two games of the season. Whether his drop in performance is due to injury or age, O'Hara is 33, the Giants need to figure out a way to get him back to his Pro Bowl level of play. If O'Hara is unable to go on Sunday, he will be replaced by the Giants' sixth round pick in the '07 draft, Adam Koets. Koets initially struggled with his snapping abilities when the Giants moved him to center before last season. However, the Giants are apparently pleased with his development and think that he can step up and fill in for O'Hara this weekend. Despite what the Giants believe about Koets and the fact that O'Hara has not looked himself so far this year, I think the loss of O'Hara along the OLine is going to be a big problem.
QUESTIONABLE
Justin Tuck (DE) - Shoulder- A surprise entry on the injury list for this weekend. Apparently, Tuck's shoulder that he had surgery on in the off-season is flaring up again, and he was limited in practice today. Zach Berman of The Star-Ledger has some good quotes in his article about Tuck's injury. The good news is that Berman wrote that Tuck was quoted as saying he would "absolutely" play on Sunday. I hope this is the case, but it is very disconcerting to read that he might have to deal with the same shoulder issue he had last year again. Last week it was Osi's knee, now Tuck's shoulder, it makes me wonder if Kiwi is next...
Chase Blackburn (LB) - Knee - It is good to see that Chase Blackburn has been at least upgraded to questionable for the game this weekend. However, he was limited in practice this week, and I would be a little surprised to see the Giants rush him back, especially since the special teams unit performed better against the Colts. Either way, it is good to hear that he is getting better.
PROBABLE
Aaron Ross (CB) - Foot - For a second, I thought Ross would actually be left off the injury list this week, as I didn't read about him being limited at all in practice. Maybe the Giants just thought the injury list wouldn't be the same without Ross on it? Anyway, Ross should be able to go this weekend.

Kevin Boss (TE) - Concussion - I am elated to see that Kevin Boss has been upgraded all the way to probable in this week's injury report. The Giants really need Boss back as Travis Beckum and Bear Pascoe have been less than impressive in replacing him. I hope to see him on the field this weekend, and most importantly, I hope he can get through a game without getting punished as he usually does.
Mario Manningham (WR) Illness - This is the second week in a row that a Giants' WR has been a surprise addition to the injury list after coming off a good game. Hopefully, Manningham's play isn't as affected by missing some practices as it looked like Nicks' performance was last week against the Colts.
