Giants' Umenyiora, Vikings' Allen fined

 

New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora was fined by the National Football League on Friday.

According to the Post, the 29-year-old was docked $12,500 for a hit on Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson during last Monday's 21-3 win over Minnesota in Detroit. The hit resulted in a roughing-the-passer call.

In addition, the Post revealed that Vikings cornerback Asher Allen was levied a $5,000 fine for a hit to the helmet of Giants back Ahmad Bradshaw.
